Introduction to Chain Waxing

A practical introduction to chain waxing.

This session explains how a waxed drivetrain works and walks through the process step-by-step so you can confidently maintain it at home.

You’ll leave with a properly prepared and waxed chain, along with the products needed to continue the system yourself.

Includes

  • Chain preparation and hot waxing demonstration
  • Your chain waxed during the session
  • CeramicSpeed UFO wax kit (approx. 12 rewaxes)
  • CeramicSpeed UFO drip wax
  • Guidance on maintenance intervals
  • Tea, coffee and biscuits

Important

Waxing works best when starting with a new chain or one with minimal wear.

If your chain is worn, we may recommend replacing it to get the best result.

Chains are available in the workshop if required:
Shimano chains from £35
SRAM chains from £45

Before you attend

  • Bring your chain (new or lightly used)
  • If unsure, bring it and we’ll check it on the day
  • Replacement chains available if required
  • Small group sessions with time for questions
  • If you have questions beforehand, just get in touch
