Officine Mattio
Gravel, with a distinctly fast bias
The Bisalta sits at the performance end of gravel. It is light, responsive and designed for riders who still want the bike to feel quick when the route turns back onto tarmac or hardpack.
At the same time, clearance for up to 50 mm tyres gives it enough range for rougher gravel and more technical routes. The result is less an expedition bike and more a fast all-road and gravel platform that can be built around the way you ride.
The Bisalta platform
950 g
Claimed frame weight
Torayca T1000 carbon construction keeps the chassis light while retaining the stiffness expected from a performance gravel bike.
50 mm
Tyre clearance
Clearance for up to 50 mm tyres front and rear gives the Bisalta genuine scope beyond smooth gravel and all-road riding.
T47
Bottom bracket
A threaded T47 bottom bracket keeps the system straightforward to service while allowing a modern oversized shell.
Made to order
More than choosing a groupset
One of the reasons we like Officine Mattio is the freedom to shape the finished bike around the rider. Paint, components and specification can all be considered before the bike is ordered rather than treated as changes afterwards.
That can mean choosing the right gearing and wheels for the riding you actually do, working through cockpit dimensions and fit, or creating a finish that is genuinely individual.
For projects that need to go further, Officine Mattio also offers scope to work with frame geometry rather than being limited entirely to a standard production configuration.
Sizing the Bisalta
The Bisalta is available in five stock sizes from XS to XL. As with any performance bike, we would not choose a size from rider height alone.
We would look at your current bike, riding position and intended use before deciding on frame size, cockpit dimensions and the final setup.
Bisalta geometry
Useful when comparing sizes or checking the Bisalta against your current bike. We would still size the bike around the rider rather than these numbers alone.

Who we think it suits
A good fit if...
You want a gravel bike that still feels quick and precise on the road, but with enough tyre clearance and stability to take on rougher gravel. It makes particular sense for riders who value low weight, responsiveness and a more performance-led position.
We’d look elsewhere if...
Your priority is heavily loaded bikepacking, maximum comfort over outright pace, or very technical off-road riding. In those cases we would look at a different type of gravel bike rather than trying to make the Bisalta do a job it was not designed around.
Build your Bisalta
Start with the bike you want to ride
There is no single Bisalta specification that works for everyone. We start with fit and the kind of riding you have in mind, then work through the parts that actually change how the bike rides.
Drivetrain & gearing
Choose the groupset and gearing around where you ride, how steep it gets and whether the bike will spend more time on road, fast gravel or rougher terrain.
Wheels & tyres
The Bisalta's 50 mm clearance gives plenty of room to tune the bike towards speed, grip or comfort rather than accepting whatever tyres happen to come on a standard build.
Fit & finishing kit
Cockpit dimensions, saddle choice and riding position are considered before the bike is built, rather than corrected after the first few rides.
