Port Velo Cycle Works is an independent bike workshop serving Portishead, Portbury, Pill and the wider North Somerset area. We exist to keep you riding — faster, safer and for longer — with meticulous servicing, honest advice and parts that last.

Our mission

To take the faff out of bike care and make every ride feel brand-new. Whether you’re a daily commuter, weekend club rider or training for your next big challenge, we treat your bike like it’s our own — perfecting your ride.

What we do

  • Servicing & repairs: From safety checks and drivetrain refreshes to full strip-downs, wheel truing, brake bleeds and gear indexing (Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo, mechanical or electronic).

  • Custom builds & upgrades: Frame-up builds, wheelsets, cockpit fits, tubeless setups and component upgrades chosen for your goals and budget.

  • E-bike maintenance: Routine checks and wear-item replacement on most leading e-bike systems (please contact us with your model for confirmation).

  • Parts & accessories: We choose rider-tested, workshop-approved components from reputable manufacturers — selected for fit, function and long-term reliability.

Short on time? We offer collection & delivery in our local area — ask for coverage and availability when you book.

Sustainability & community

We minimise waste by repairing where safe and re-using serviceable parts. We recycle tyres, tubes, metal and cardboard where facilities allow, and we support local clubs and community events.
